SOUND TO SPEECH TO SOUND TO SPEECH!

The Creative and Performative Voice in Poetry and Text

In this two day Masterclass, improvisor, director, coach and live poet Margo van de Linde will take us on two journeys that combine immediacy with reflection. She will teach a range of handy tools for deepening your potential to mine from the sounds, rhythms and textures you create vocally to generate performative poetry in the moment.

Building on this, she will teach poetic writing techniques for editing and enhancing these found texts, so that we may contemplate in more detail with what type of vocal quality and presence they might be performed. This will result in the construction of a piece born from pure play.

In addition expect plenty of exercises in body awareness, grounding, energizing and confidence building – as these qualities sit at the core of a state of true artistic flow.

Location: Roelantstraat 10, Amsterdam.

Times: 10:00-17:00 hrs with a one hour lunch break (included)
